1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how AI Prototype Labs, an Ontario, Canada business, handles information in connection with E-Mail Janitor. support@emailjanitor.com
2. We do not keep your mailbox
E-Mail Janitor is a local Windows application. It connects directly from your PC to the email provider you configure. AI Prototype Labs does not operate an E-Mail Janitor cloud inbox and does not keep a server-side copy of your mailbox as part of normal app operation.
Your email remains with your provider. Normal classification, review, movement, and organization are performed by the local application against that provider connection.
3. App passwords and Pro keys stay in Windows Credential Manager
Your email app password and E-Mail Janitor Pro registration key are stored locally using Windows Credential Manager. They are not supposed to be transmitted to AI Prototype Labs during normal use or included in ordinary support requests.
4. Information kept locally on your PC
E-Mail Janitor keeps operational settings and history locally so the product can remember how you want it to work. Local-only information includes:
- sender memory and “From now on” filing choices;
- current-day protection cutoff settings;
- daily review schedule settings and related local Windows scheduling state;
- last-run status/history needed to show or correct the recent organization result; and
- other account-scoped preferences and counts used by the application.
These local settings are not a hosted customer profile and are not sent to AI Prototype Labs as part of normal mailbox processing.
5. Purchase information
When online checkout is enabled, Stripe will handle payment processing and may receive information required for the transaction, including the purchase email address and payment/billing information. Web Hosting Canada (WHC) may also receive or process the purchase email address where our website, hosting, email, or order-delivery infrastructure uses its services.
Stripe and WHC handle information under their own privacy and security practices. AI Prototype Labs does not need your email app password or mailbox contents to process a purchase.
6. If an activation ping is added
E-Mail Janitor does not need to upload your mailbox to verify a licence. If AI Prototype Labs adds an online activation ping, the activation payload will be limited to the activation date/time, a cryptographic hash of the registration key, and a machine identifier. It will not include your app password, full registration key, mailbox content, message bodies, subjects, or sender list.
If such an activation check is introduced, this policy and release information should identify that change before it is used in a customer release.
7. Support information
Online support submissions are sent to support@emailjanitor.com and include the name, reply email, edition, Windows version, message type, and message you enter. A temporary session cookie protects the form. Short-lived request timestamps keyed to a hashed IP address help limit spam. Reviews are submitted privately and are not automatically published.
If you contact support, AI Prototype Labs receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address, the text of your request, and attachments you deliberately provide. Please remove unnecessary personal information before sending screenshots or logs.
Do not send passwords, app passwords, full registration keys, or unnecessary mailbox content to support.
8. Retention and uninstall
Local E-Mail Janitor settings remain on the PC until removed by the product, reset by the user, or removed through the product’s uninstall/cleanup behavior. Purchase and support records may be retained as reasonably necessary for transactions, fraud prevention, customer support, accounting, legal obligations, and dispute handling.
Uninstalling E-Mail Janitor does not delete your server-side email or provider folders.
9. Children
E-Mail Janitor is not intended for children under 13, and AI Prototype Labs does not knowingly offer the product for purchase by children under 13.
10. Security
AI Prototype Labs designs E-Mail Janitor to minimize unnecessary collection and to keep sensitive product state local. No security measure is perfect, so you should also protect your Windows account, email provider account, and recovery methods.

12. Changes to this Policy
AI Prototype Labs may update this Policy when the product, checkout flow, activation design, service providers, or legal requirements change. The current page will identify its effective date.
